I finally went to the doctor for the headaches I've been getting for the past 5+ years. They think it has something to do with my neck, and they put me on muscle relaxers that help me sleep beautifully but haven't stemmed the onslaught of debilitating headaches. I'll be going back on the 30th to see the doctor about this.
They also ran some bloodwork on me, and as it turns out my thyroid is very underactive. Which could explain a myriad of symptoms I've been feeling over the past several years including depression, irritability, fatigue, and best of all weight gain. So I've been started on a low dose of thyroid medicine. I've only been on it for 4 weeks so I haven't seen a whole lot of improvement. Also the dosage has to be measured and retested carefully as to not slingshot me into hyperthyroidism. At any rate, it's nice to finally be able to get myself healthy again.
Last but not least, my grandmother passed away yesterday morning.
